Police: Roommate used tape dispenser, shower rod in murder of man

The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office says a woman has been charged with murder in connection with the death of a Manchester man who was found last week.

The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office says a woman has been charged with murder in connection with the death of a Manchester man who was found last week.
According to prosecutor’s office, Mary Carbone, 56, of Toms River, used several household items in the commission of murder, specifically a tape dispenser and a shower rod to kill Frank Stochel.
The prosecutor’s office says the body of Stochel was found last week in a home on 6th Avenue in Pine Lake Park, where the two lived together.
The Medical Examiner ruled the manner of death to be a homicide.
Carbone is also charged with two counts of possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, among other charges.
Carbone is lodged at the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.
