Police: Perth Amboy woman stabbed to death; husband under arrest

A Perth Amboy man is under arrest after police say he stabbed and killed his wife over the weekend and apparently did it in front of children.
Police officials say they received a 911 call Saturday morning around 3 a.m.about a stabbing on Bertrand Avenue.
Officers found a man and a woman lying on the kitchen floor.
Rosana Rodriguez, 40, of Perth Amboy, appeared to have been stabbed.
She was rushed to Raritan Bay Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead.
The man is identified as her husband, Wellinton Leonardo.
He was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for further treatment. There’s no additional word on his injuries.
