A 15-year-old from North Plainfield was charged with first-degree murder Friday.
The suspect, only being identified as QC because of his age, is accused of killing 16-year-old Altereek Johnson.
Authorities say Johnson was found shot near Steiner Avenue. They say he was targeted.
The suspect surrendered to police Friday.
