Police in Eatontown have confirmed there was not a shooting at the Monmouth Mall.

According to police, a teen tried to rob a shopper Sunday with an airsoft pellet pistol.

Several good Samaritans stepped in to subdue the teen.

Shoppers reported hearing gunfire, but police say it was just a sound from a display that was knocked over.
