Police in Bloomfield say a man was shot following a dispute over COVID-19 capacity restrictions. The incident happened Sunday around 3:32 a.m. at 547 Bloomfield Ave.
According to police, the victim was working the front door of the establishment and denied entry to a group, which included four men and one woman, because of capacity restrictions.
Police say that's when one of the men pointed a handgun at the victim and fired three shots at him. They then ran away on foot.
The 47-year-old male victim was hit in the hand and taken to University Hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening. He is expected to recover.
Police are now looking for the group they say is responsible.
Anyone who may have information about the incident is asked to contact Bloomfield police.
