A Trenton man will spend 65 years in prison for killing someone during a memorial event meant to honor a shooting victim.

Matthew Tanner was found guilty of first-degree murder in April.

Prosecutors say he ambushed a man and shot him more than a dozen times.

The shooting happened in the summer of 2021 at an annual party held in memory of a victim killed in 2013.
