Stafford Police Department say they have gathered enough information to identify the person who stole the iconic Jersey Devil from a Warren Grove restaurant.

Police say they received a call Saturday that Lucilles Luncheonette’s Jersey Devil statue had been stolen. After an investigation, police say they identified Thomas Blintz, 52, from Ohio as the man who stole the statue. A warrant has since been issued for his arrest.

The restaurant posted about the theft on Facebook and wrote, “we personally felt very violated by this random act of destructive behavior as did our friends, customers, neighbors.”

Anyone with information on Blintz’s whereabouts should contact Detective Conner at jconner@staffordpolice.org or 609-597-1000, ext. 8461.
