Police: Irvington man charged for burglaries in Maplewood

News 12 first reported about the break-ins earlier this month at Artie’s Restaurant on Newark Way and Sabatino’s Pizza on Valley Street.

The man believed to be responsible for two restaurant burglaries in Maplewood is now behind bars.
News 12 first reported about the break-ins earlier this month at Artie’s Restaurant on Newark Way and Sabatino’s Pizza on Valley Street. Police say that 52-year-old Christopher Ransom, or Irvington, burglarized these businesses.
He was charged with three counts of second-degree burglary, one count of third-degree theft of a motor vehicle, three counts of criminal mischief and theft.
Ransom is being held at the Essex County Jail.
