Police: Hoboken man punched woman unconscious, assaulted parkgoers

A Hoboken man accused of assaulting individuals Thursday at Church Square Park is facing several charges, according to authorities.
Police say 31-year-old Troy Timberlake was seen hitting people by the gazebo, as well as yelling at children and seniors.
A woman passing by turned to address him after he spat on her. He proceeded to punch and follow her out of the park.
He punched her multiple times and knocked her out before approaching another victim.
Police say the second victim was repeatedly hit in the head near a playground in the park.
Officers detained Timberlake shortly after arriving at the scene and took him to the Hudson County jail.
The charges against him include aggravated assault, endangering an injured victim, child cruelty and refusal to submit fingerprinting.
