yesterdayA family friend of an East Orange nursing home resident is facing charges of attempted murder.
Police say that the friend went into the woman’s room at the Brookhaven Nursing Home and allegedly cut the power cables to the medical equipment.
The person was later pulled over for speeding on the New Jersey Turnpike and allegedly confessed to a state trooper about what she had done.
The Brookhaven resident was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.
