Crews rushed to extinguish a multi-car fire Friday in the parking lot of the Rahway Prison in Avenel.

Photos of the scene show the vehicles completely engulfed.

It is unclear if anyone was injured.

The cause of the fire remains unclear as of Saturday morning.
