A 65-year-old man faces charges for allegedly robbing a bank in Elizabeth Thursday.
Police say the man walked into the Wells Fargo bank on Broad Street just before 11:30 a.m. and climbed over an 8-foot-tall glass barrier at the tellers' station. He then allegedly took money from the cash drawer.
Employees and patrons inside the bank called 911 when they witnessed what happened.
Elizabeth police officers quickly responded to the bank and say they found the man in a back room of the bank and arrested him.
Police officers say the man did not show any weapon and no one was hurt.
