and then called 911.
According
to police, the woman was hit by a fireplace tool inside a home Saturday night
on New Milford Avenue in Dumont.
After that call, police say they found the elderly
woman dead with multiple cuts on her face.
Patrick Maupai is now facing
murder and weapons charges.
The motive isn't known at this
time.
