Three men have been charged in the death of a 9-year-old girl.

Police say Jennifer Trejo was killed after a stray bullet struck her while she was sleeping in her own bed last month in Bridgeton.

Police say they've arrested 25-year-old Michael Elliott, 20-year-old Leroy Frazier III and 18-year-old Charles Gamble.

They have been charged with murder, conspiracy, attempted murder and weapons offenses.

Police say the shots were fired about a block away and the stray bullet went through Trejo's wall.
