Two children in North Brunswick are recovering from minor injuries after a bullet they found in their garage was discharged.
Police initially said that the children were hurt by a BB gun. But the investigation found that the children found the bullet and “played with it in a manner that caused it to discharge.”
One of the children was taken to the hospital to be treated. Both are expected to be OK.
Police say that the incident highlights the importance of teaching children that if they find something of this nature, they should leave it alone and contact an adult.
