Police: 17-year-old arrested for car theft in Wall Township

Police say the suspect may have been one of two passengers who left the scene of an earlier accident, entered a home on Belmar Boulevard and stole the vehicle on Sunday.

A 17-year-old from Atlantic City is facing multiple charges in the theft of a Cadillac in Wall Township.

Police say the suspect may have been one of two passengers who left the scene of an earlier accident, entered a home on Belmar Boulevard and stole the vehicle on Sunday.

Following the theft, police say they saw the stolen vehicle on the parkway and arrested the 17-year-old driver.

New Jersey State Police say the charges against him include eluding, obstruction and aggravated assault on an officer.

Wall Township police have also charged him with burglary, theft and unlawful taking causing risk of injury.
