One person was killed early Saturday morning in a car crash in Ocean Township.
The crash happened in the area of South Lincoln Avenue near Oakwood Avenue around 2:30 a.m. Officials say a car struck a tree.
Police say 20-year-old Dane Fante, a student at Monmouth University, was a passenger in the car and was pronounced dead.
The driver, 21-year-old Jose Rivera, was treated for injuries not considered to be life-threatening. He is also a Monmouth University.
