Police were called to a shopping plaza on Hooper Avenue in Toms River for a report of a deadly shooting.

They found three people shot, one of which died later at the hospital.

Another remains in critical but stable condition. The third victim was treated and released.

Police say it is still an active investigation and are asking anyone with information to contact them.
