New Jersey will start the weekend off with a pleasant Saturday before rainier weather begins to move in.
Storm Watch Team meteorologists say the rain will be beneficial as New Jersey continues to deal with a drought.
OVERNIGHT: Clear skies will allow New Jersey residents to view the harvest full moon, as well as Jupiter and Saturn. Temperatures will dip into the upper-50s and low-60s. Coastal flood advisories for higher-than-normal tides tonight.
SATURDAY: Hurricane Earl offshore continues to cause higher swells and rip currents at area beaches this weekend. Mostly sunny skies with some clouds. Daytime highs around 85 degrees. Overnight lows dip to around 70.
SUNDAY: A rainier pattern develops Sunday, which lasts through Wednesday. Periods of rain throughout Sunday. Daytime highs around 82 degrees with lows around 70.
MONDAY: Mostly cloudy skies, with periods of rain. Daytime highs around 81. Overnight lows dip to around 68 degrees.
