A deadly apartment fire in Plainfield claimed the lives of two people, city officials said.
Leonel Garcia-Cortez and Maria Guaya died in the blaze, leaving behind two children ages 17 and 11.
The couple lived in the building on West Front Street where flames broke out Sunday morning, causing a partial roof collapse.
Officials said 72 people were displaced.
