The staff at Rutgers is on alert that jobs at the university could come under the ax.
According to Rutgers University president Richard McCormick, the school is facing a $60 million shortfall. McCormick say in addition to possible layoffs, the school also faces cuts in classes, services and maintenance projects.
McCormick is asking all departments to come up with money saving plans by the end of the month. There has been no word yet on what jobs would be cut or how many could be laid off.
