Geoff and Aimee Schenkel have been hosting a neighborhood turkey fry for 15 years at their home in Pine Brook.

“We’ve fried everything from T-bone steaks to peanut butter and jelly,” says Geoff.

Participants are asked to donate money to a charity. This year the money will go toward a new ambulance for town.

The event has grown each year – with year one starting at just one turkey. This year, the gathering fried about 27!

“Thanksgiving is about family and gratitude,” says Aimee.  “Why not share it with people you like, people you love and people you only see once a year?”
