2 families displaced, 1 person hospitalized in Trenton fire
Multiple fire crews responded to help extinguish the blaze.

Two families were forced from their home and one person was sent to the hospital after a fire ripped through a Trenton home Thursday night.
The fire broke out on South Broad Street just after 6:30 p.m. And quickly spread through the 2-and-a-half-story building.
"The extensive fire required an all-hands call and a second-alarm response," Trenton Mayor Reed Gusciora said in a statement on social media.
Multiple crews worked to contain the fire and bring it under control. Gusciora said one fire crew was nearby when the flames erupted. They were soon joined by multiple ladder and engine companies along with Trenton police, EMS crews and police chaplains.
"Our Department of Health and Human Services team responded immediately to begin assisting the displaced families with their needs," Gusciora said. "I spoke with the families tonight and offered them the prayers and support of our entire city. Please keep them—and the young man recovering from smoke inhalation—in your thoughts. We are deeply grateful to every first responder and City employee who came to their aid and made every effort to save lives and bring this major fire under control."
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
