AP Authorities say an off-duty Patersonpolice officer shot and wounded her ex-boyfriend after he defied anorder of protection by breaking into her home and assaulting hercurrent boyfriend.
The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office says officer LatrentaGrayson fired two shots from her service revolver. One struck herex-boyfriend, Albert Mullings, in the bicep.
The eight-year veteran of the Paterson police tellsinvestigators that Mullings broke into her home shortly after 2a.m. Monday and threatened to kill her current boyfriend.
Mullings was treated for a broken left thumb and gunshot woundto the bicep. He faces charges of burglary, making terroristicthreats and assault. It was not immediately known if he hasretained a lawyer.
