Parents of students at West Essex High School and Middle School in North Caldwell allege racial discrimination against their children.
One parent told News 12 New Jersey that a teacher called her child a “monkey.”
Another parent claims some white students consistently called her daughter racial slurs.

“West Essex Regional School District denounces all forms of discrimination. A safe and civil environment in school is necessary for our students to learn and achieve high academic standards, and discriminatory and hateful comments and actions are the antithesis of our district's core values and beliefs,” Macioci wrote/
