Police in Old Bridge are asking for the public’s help to identify a man who they say attacked and robbed a 7-Eleven employee last month at gunpoint.
Authorities released security video of a man robbing the employee on Feb. 28 around 4 a.m. The video also shows the armed robbery suspect zip-tying the employee's hands and feet. Police say the suspect later removed the zip ties from the victim's legs as he needed his assistance with opening the registers.
According to police, the suspect escaped with cash and cigarettes. He is described as a Black, heavyset man and about 5'6". He was wearing a Carhartt style coat with a rust-colored hoodie, gloves, jeans and brown boots.
Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to contact Detective Phil Belgio at 732-721-5600, ext. 3141 or email pbelgio@oldbridge.com. Anonymous tips are also welcomed.
