Strong winds are to blame for a house fire in Garfield Sunday evening, fire officials say.
The fire occurred just before 6:30 p.m. at a two-family house located on Cambridge Avenue.
Officials say a strong wind blew off a branch from a nearby tree which then pulled down a live wire. The wire hit the house and set it on fire.
Authorities say that despite the strong winds, the flames were contained to the one house and didn't spread next door.
They say two families were displaced and there were no injuries.
