At least one resident at a Somerset apartment complex had to be rescued after an overnight fire, officials said.
The fire broke out at a condo complex located on Richmond Court in Hillsborough Township early Friday, causing severe damage to a building, but not harming any neighboring buildings.
Three units were part of the damaged building.
Police said no one was injured as a result from the fire, but fire officials had to rescue someone from the building.
One resident told News 12 that a fire had occurred within the community in recent years.
Crews were seen boarding up the walls of the building Friday morning. Management for the community was still working on a temporary home for the displaced residents.
In a Facebook post, the Hillsborough Township Fire District said, "Huge shout out to our firefighters, fire marshals, mutual aid companies assisting on scene, and companies covering our stations. Teamwork makes the dream work."
