Authorities have released the names of a New Jersey couple killed when the ride-sharing car they were passengers in was involved in a three-vehicle crash.

Officials release names of couple killed in 3-vehicle crash
OLD BRIDGE (AP) - Authorities have released the names of a New Jersey couple killed when the ride-sharing car they were passengers in was involved in a three-vehicle crash.

Old Bridge police say 72-year-old Grigory Deli and his 71-year-old wife, Margarita, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred shortly before 6 a.m. Monday on Route 9.

Authorities say the Manalapan residents were in the back seat of the ride-sharing car that was rear-ended by an SUV and then pushed into a third vehicle.

The 37-year-old driver of the ride-sharing car and the driver of third vehicle hit in the chain-reaction collision, a 47-year-old Staten Island, New York man, suffered injuries that are not considered life-threatening. The SUV driver wasn't injured.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
