Officials: Highland Park man gets 5 years for shooting at car during road rage incident

Authorities say Gerald Chapman shot twice at the victim and then threw away the gun.

A Highland Park man was sentenced to a prison term for a road rage incident.

Gerald Chapman was sentenced to five years for shooting at a car on Easton Avenue in Franklin Township last year.

Authorities say Chapman shot twice at the victim and then threw away the gun.

Officials say Chapman’s two young daughters were in the car with him when he fired the gun.
