Children who ride the school bus will not be required to wear masks once New Jersey’s school mask mandate ends on March 7.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updated its guidelines on masks last week, saying that people who live in communities where the coronavirus is declining do not need to wear masks.

New Jersey’s COVID-19 numbers have been dropping dramatically over the past few days. State health officials announced just 685 new cases on Monday. The rate of transmission is now at 0.75.
New Jersey’s COVID-19 hospitalizations are also in a decline and are at their lowest since Nov. 18.
