The man accused of planting bombs in New York and New Jersey has been moved to a state correctional facility, according to law enforcement officials.

Ahmad Rahimi had been at University Hospital in Newark ever since he was shot by Linden police during his capture on Sept. 19.

A law enforcement official tells News 12 New Jersey that Rahimi is now in the custody of the Department of Corrections and is in a state facility in Trenton.

Rahimi pleaded not guilty last week to the attempted murder of two Linden police officers. 

Rahimi is also accused of planting bombs in a trash can at a Marines 5K charity race in Seaside Park, as well as in a dumpster in New York City. No one was hurt in the Seaside bombing, but about 30 people were injured in the New York bombing.

He is still facing federal charges related to the bombings.
