Officials in Paterson say that three guns were found at John F. Kennedy High School on Friday following a fight that triggered a school lockdown.
Officials say that one of the guns was found on a student that was involved in the fight.
Superintendent Eileen Shafer says that during that fight another student was trying to get into the building. But a security guard stopped the student from coming in.
That student and man were later seen near the school. A Paterson police officer stopped to interview the pair, and it was found that each had a gun.
The two students and the man were arrested and charged with gun possession.
Shafer says that starting on Monday, anyone coming into Kennedy High School will be subject to a security check.
