Police say a 17-year-old male driving a Vespa and a 53-year-old female driving a car were injured last night in a crash on South Avenue near the entrance ramp of the Merritt Parkway in New Canaan.

Authorities say the sedan was in the process of turning left onto the northbound ramp of the Merritt Parkway from South Avenue when it collided with the Vespa scooter.

They say both drivers were taken to Norwalk Hospital.

New Canaan police are asking anyone with information regarding the crash to contact them.
