Island Beach State Park is still facing problems after sewer line backups forced early closures over the Fourth of July weekend.
Only one of the park's two pavilions is open today due to ongoing restroom issues.
The New Jersey DEP, which runs the park, has not posted updates since 7:30 a.m. Sunday.
A call to the front gate confirmed Pavilion 2 remains closed.
The park first shut down Saturday when sewer backups made restrooms unusable.
State rules require public restrooms to be open for the park to operate.
Visitors were turned away and funneled into nearby towns like Berkeley Township and Seaside Park.
Seaside Park Mayor John Peterson said the overflow made the area extremely crowded and criticized the state's communication.
The DEP declined a News 12 on-camera interview and directed the public to its Facebook page for updates.
