A student at West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North has died after he was struck by a car while he rode among a group of bicyclists while out of state.
School Superintendent David Aderhold says student Aarav Shah was a rising junior who was actively involved in the school community.
School counselors, case managers and staff from Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care were available Monday to assist students dealing with grief.
Aderhold says if any parent who feels their son or daughter is having difficulty coping with this event should let school officials know as soon as possible.
Counselors will be available both virtually and in person to work with students. Parents can send an email to marykate.harty@wwprsd.org to access virtual services,
