8h agoA 45-year-old woman is dead after being struck by a driver in a Downtown Brooklyn intersection.
The incident happened Friday around 11:06 p.m. at Flatbush Avenue and State Street.
Police say the woman, who has not yet been named, stepped out of a black SUV into the right most lane of traffic and was struck by a gray Chevy Malibu.
Residents of a nearby building told News 12 that they have had issues in the past regarding ride-share drivers dropping off passengers in unsafe, high-traffic areas.
Police say both the 29-year-old driver of the Chevy and the driver of the SUV, who has not been identified, remained on the scene and have not been charged.
