The NYPD is trying to identify a suspect who stabbed a person on Prospect Avenue last month.

Police say this happened around 9 a.m. on Sept. 25.

They say that a 37-year-old man was inside 2000 Prospect Ave. when he was approached by an unidentified man following an argument.

The unidentified man stabbed the victim once in the left side of his torso and then ran away.

EMS responded and took the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

The NYPD is asking for the public's assistance in identifying the attacker.

The suspect is described as a man with a dark complexion, in his 40s, with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded, long-sleeve shirt and eyeglasses.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or, for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging on to the Crime Stoppers website or on X @NYPDTips.
