NYPD: 2 arrested in assault of former Gov. Paterson, stepson

Police say a 12-year-old male was arrested and charged with gang assault in the second degree, and a 13-year-old male was arrested and charged with gang assault in the third degree.

The NYPD says two individuals have been arrested and charged in Friday night's assault of former Gov. David Paterson and his stepson near their home in Manhattan.
Police say a 12-year-old male was arrested and charged with gang assault in the second degree, and a 13-year-old male was arrested and charged with gang assault in the third degree.
Paterson and his stepson “were engaged in a verbal altercation with five unidentified individuals,” according to authorities.
The suspects then struck them in the face and body before they fled on foot.
Paterson and his stepson were hospitalized in stable condition
