Police say a 38-year-old woman is dead and a 46-year-old man is recovering at a local hospital following a stabbing in Mount Eden on Friday.

They say an argument took a violent turn at 1479 Macombs Road at around 3:30 a.m.

Police sources tell News 12 the victim and the 46-year-old man had guests over and that's when one of the guests, a man, stabbed the two.

Police say the 38-year-old woman was found with multiple stab wounds to her chest and back.

A person of interest is in NYPD custody.
