One of the attackers of a Millburn mailman has been identified, authorities say.
Police say Zachary Lyttle, 24, of New York has been charged with robbery. There's a warrant out for his arrest. The second suspect has not yet been identified.
Police say the mail carrier reported two unknown Black males wearing black ski masks and dark clothing approached him on the front lawn of a Walnut Avenue residence. The mail carrier says the two men demanded his postal keys and then threatened to rough him up for the keys, police say. The mail carrier then ran to escape the suspects.
Police say two men were able to catch up to the mail carrier and push him to the ground. They say the men then wrestled with the mail carrier and removed the postal keys from his belt loop. The victim suffered minor injuries. The two men were seen leaving the area in a silver Mercedes-Benz sedan.
The entire incident was captured by a surveillance camera at a home on Walnut Avenue.
This incident is being investigated by the Millburn detective bureau.
