Nutley-based drug maker Roche has announced plans to move out West.The move is due to the company taking over the California-based bio-tech firm Genentech. Once the deal is completed, officials for Hoffman-La Roche say the company will relocate its headquarters to California.There are 3,240 workers that could be affected by the move. Many of those jobs may be lost, but the company has said it could expand its research and development unit in New Jersey, which would be kept open.The announcement comes several days after Montvale-based Barr Pharmaceuticals said Israeli pharmaceutical company Teva was purchasing it for more than $7 billion.Roche
