Nursing home residents lost to COVID-19 honored in memorial in Long Branch

New Jersey residents who lost their loved ones in nursing homes due to COVID-19 gathered in Long Branch for a group memorial service.
Members of the Family Advocate Care Experience, or FACE, say they have been advocating for the nursing home community throughout the pandemic.
They say they also wanted to create a community of people who had common difficult experiences.
Many of the memorial attendees say it was difficult to not be able to visit family in nursing homes for a whole year.
Some attendees say they weren't able to hold their own memorial services for their family, so this tribute filled this need for them as best as it could.
