Hilda Masia says being 101 years old doesn't feel much different than being 99.
Masia's family and friends threw her a special party for her big day Tuesday, including a visit from the mayor.
Her relatives say Masia actually had to miss her 100th birthday celebration due to a broken hip.
This year felt like making up for lost time, they added.
Masia says the key to longevity may be in her genes, as her own mother lived to the age of 96.
