North Wildwood residents and officials are calling on the state's Department of Environmental Protection after a beach ramp was almost lost to erosion.
The DEP responded to North Wildwood Mayor Patrick Rosenello's request on Monday, saying some protections would do more harm than good and that dunes, the current protections, work just fine.
The DEP also previously warned against the town carrying out their own emergency repair without approval from the state.
