A North Plainfield youth soccer coach has been accused of assaulting a 16-year-old opposing player in Roselle, according to authorities.
Police say Gustavo Rosas Plata kicked the teen from Elizabeth after the player fell near the sideline at the Warinanco Sports Center.
Plata was arrested then released on Tuesday. He is awaiting a court date.
