Medical experts across the country say that people living with multiple sclerosis aren't alone.
The nonprofit group Multiple Sclerosis Association of America provides many services for those coping with the disease, all free of charge.
"MS is a very individualized disease. It affects everybody very differently, no two symptoms are alike. No two people are alike," says MSAA Vice President Peter Damiri.
MSAA says fundraising is so critical due to how expensive paying for basic services for those with MS.
"When you think about the services we provide, they have a cost and if we don't have the fundraising to deliver these services, people who need these services won't have them," says Steve Bruneau, who is on the MSAA Board of Directors.
Events like challenges, walks and fashion show luncheons are organized to help raise money for MS service.
The MSAA's Women of Action Luncheon and Fashion Show will be held Friday, Nov. 3.
