Amico Island Park in Riverside, Burlington County is now off-limits due to a harmful algae bloom that was found in the water.
The Department of Environmental Protection tested the water Tuesday at the park after receiving a tip, and found the harmful algae.
Signs are now posted warning visitors to stay away from the water.
According to officials, this occurs when slow moving water and high temperatures over-produce algae, which can produce a large amount of toxins.

Anyone who sees a suspected algae bloom is asked to contact the health department at (609) 265-5548.
