A teenager who pleaded guilty to reckless homicide in the deaths of a young couple received no jail time at his sentencing Friday.

The 17-year-old was driving 82 mph when he crashed head on with John Razilard, 19, and his fiancée Jennifer Dooley, 20, in January. The teenager was driving more than double the speed limit.

Instead of jail time, the teenager received three years probation, a two-year license suspension and a fine. Prosecutors say the sentencing is not unheard of, as there are no mandatory sentences in juvenile court.

Armed guards needed to accompany Razilard's enraged father out of the courtroom after he heard the sentence.

"Let me borrow your nine," said Arthur Razilard. "I'll relax real good."

Razilard's mother Debra didn't threaten to take action into her own hands, but expressed pain at the tragic loss of her son.

"He was just starting his life," she said. "He had just got engaged to his high school sweetheart ? I'm a little upset right now."
