A woman from Roselle Park with profanity-laced political signage all over her property pleaded not guilty to violating town code during a conference call today with a municipal judge and her attorney.
Andrea Dick learned she could face fines of $500 per day if she doesn’t remove or change the signs.
Three of the signs include the F-word written in large letters, as well as former President Donald Trump flashing the middle finger. Dick said she wouldn't remove the sign.
"It’s my First Amendment right. I feel I have a right to have that sign up," said Dick.
Her home is about a block from an elementary school.
The mayor says the town received its first complaint Friday.  Dick lives in the home with her mother, who supports the signs.  Her immediate neighbors, who share the fence, support the signage as well.
Her home is adorned with multiple political-inspired flags. Many are anti-President Joe Biden and pro-Trump.
Her court date has been set for July 8.
